Profile Project Progress

The person who we were interviewing was Michael Keale,he runes his own music shack in Coconut Marketplace. He also playas music in the hotel next to the Coconut Marketplace. We picked Micheal Keale because his dream was to become a music player. We also picked him because he had inspiring things to say.We took B-roll at his music stand, and we also did the interview by the icream place.

The technical parts of b-roll was hard first we had to get the lavaliere mic setup to the person at first we could not here the persons voice but it was just the Camera

Composition Techniques

The main four Composition Techniques are, Rule of Thirds, Framing,Unusual Angles, and Leading Lines.Rule of Thirds is a camera option that helps you inline your picture or video in the right hand corner, of left hand corner.Unusual Angles are angels that are coming from unusual directions, like above the subject or under the subject.Framing Leading Lines is something leading to the person or the subject

Practice Story Reflection

In G.T Makena,Jasmine,Nahele and me.We had yo do a video about somebody and we agreed to do Nahele likes exercising. On Monday we got introduced to the cameras we are going to use.we went out on wednesday and started doing our b-roll.We where video taping her exercising at school. She did pus-ups,jumping jacks, squats, and sit-ups.After that we interviewed her and asked her some questions.

The questions we asked is,why do you think exercising important?wWhat do you feel like when you are finished exercising? and how did you start liking exercising? She answered by saying "I think exercise is important because it can affect your physical health when you get older and you should exercise throughout your whole life so you can be strong and healthy"."When I’m finished exercising it makes me feel like i've wiped my hand".Also she said My mom actually was the one who introduced me to crossfit and after a couple classes I gained a strong addiction for it.

When we were done with the interview we did the narration

Polar Panorama

These are my two Polar Panorama examples. First I researched the process of creating a Polar Panorama before choosing a good location with an interesting horizon line.  Similar to a spherical panorama, I took at least 10 photos moving from left to right all vertically oriented with a 10-15% overlap.  After using the PhotoMerge plugin in Photoshop and resizing to a square image, the next step is rotating the image 180 degrees before applying the Polar Coordinates filter under the distort menu.

Then participated in a portrait photography session to mimic the feeling of being on top of the world.  After editing the portrait photos, students used the Quick Selection Tool to cut out the background, refine the edges and resize the layer to fit their polar panorama perfectly.  The last step was creating a shadow effect by copying, inverting and warping their portrait layer, decreasing the exposure to pure black and adjusting the opacity to around 40%

Spherical Panorama

These are two examples of Spherical Panoramas that I created.First, students were required to take two different sets of 10-15 images in a 360 degree rotation with a 10-15% overlap. The images were then edited using Adobe Camera Raw and compiled into a panoramic image using PhotoShop's PhotoMerge.

Next, the rectangular 360 degree panorama was resized to be square and filtered using Polar Coordinates. Lastly, the final spherical panoramas were selected using the elliptical marquee and feathered by refining the edges. A black or white background was applied before saving the finished composite image.

Magazine Cover

This is my finished Magazine Cover I made it in G.T. (Gifted and Talent).First we took pictures like 10-15 then we went into Photoshop and added captions and questions like you see above. After that we took the picture and draged it to the empty space. Then we started to trace the the picture, after we was done with tracing the pic we improved every thing else.Like make the words look like 3D and blare the background. The way I made the words 3D is you click on the sentence and increase the everything.
